Karl Miller |
Karl Miller is a sixth year senior at San Diego State. He is majoring in Marketing (Integrated Marketing Communications) and Spanish, and is minoring in Anthropology. He hopes to finally graduate this December. Karl was born in San Diego. After spending his early childhood in Hemet, CA, his family moved back to San Diego where he has lived ever since. Karl has been married for two years to his wife, Maribel, who he met while studying in Madrid, Spain. He has worked as a Market Research Analyst at Strategic Vision, Inc. since 2004. He is the oldest son of former SDSU Anthropology professor Joan Miller. He is also the second cousin of Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Cam Ward.
Karl was formally introduced to hockey in the year 2000 when his high school friend bought the video game NHL 2001. They played an entire season with the Pittsburgh Penguins, and Karl has been a hockey addict and a die hard Penguins fan ever since.
His main inspirations and influences for broadcasting are Hall of Fame announcers Mike Lange and Jerry Coleman, because of the passion, excitement, and fun that they instill in their listeners. Karl hopes to be able to create this same enthusiasm for those who follow San Diego State Hockey.

The SDSU hockey team travels all over the region for practice and competitions. After the season, many graduating members of the team are considering using donate car USA to make charitable contributions. It's a great way to give back to the local San Diego community.
